J and D's Vintage Pens - "Missing pens"

his isn't really a mystery, but it concerns a pen that people like to talk about because of its unusual wall-paper appearance, and because it was (until now) one of a kind. It all started from Lambrou's fountain Pens of the World, where on page 75 he shows a picture, and in the key he states "Floral, c.1955. Very rare; it is believed 200 were made." Unfortunately the pen which is cream colored, can suffer badly from yellowing, and un-yellowed pens really are scarce. It was Henry Sempole who set the cat among the pigeons in an article published in the Journal of the Writing Equipment society (WES) No 55 July 1999, in which he quotes an ex Conway Stewart Managerial employee that only one run of these pens was made because of lack of material, and a run ranges between 1,700 and 2,200 pens. "Problem solved"! However, since then the War has been raging. My input in this debate concerns a certain "floral pattern" Little Lady which was offered at auction by Bonhams in 1995. Since then I have been in contact with the person who purchased the pen, and although it is not in the best of condition, by kind permission of the owner I am giving you the first glimpse of this unusual plant. (Some say the paper embedded in the plastic was made in Japan, and just possibly other pens with this material were made by the Japanese).

ow I have just two more mysteries left.
